protection stub has stopped working? - UNRESOLVED

jcjm Zekeling	posted 07-27-10 06:06 PM EDT (US) every time i try to start the game a message error comes up saying 'protection stub' has stopped working and then windows closes the program 'protection stub' and rol doesn't start up. Any suggestions?

Hi jcjm

Try disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP).

Note that if you are using the default user account on the computer then it should not be necessary to logon as an administrator as the default user account has permission as an administrator. Also remember to reboot your computer after changing the DEP setting for making sure it takes effect.

Good you got it up and running

In my experience most problems are in one way or another a user problem. Though, espicially with Vista a new type of problem arose namely too much buildin security, but that is what people had screamed for for several years.
