I get the exact same error you do when I try to play Gossamer Ridge, guess I'd never tried before. A map pack would be a great idea, instead of for example me uploading the ones from 2.1 and 2.5, you uploading the ones I miss etc, we'd just get them all together in the same place.
As for the fanmade maps, surely someone has something to contribute, there's barely anything in the download section of this site (let alone the internet). I just recently started playing around with the map editor, and I find it a bit confusing. Creating a map from scratch seems like a huge pain in the butt.. I just did a quick change to a previously existing fanmap which you can read here: http://rol.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=64
So if anyone's interested I can contribute that one to the mappack.
I've also been thinking about making some kind of dark-glass inspired map, with a glass citadel or something that would let you summon the Giant Glass Spider, but haven't really gotten round to seeing how that'd be possible.[Edited on 11/08/13 @ 08:11 AM]

@Alin: The map folder is over 103MB, and that does not include the CTW maps. The real issue tho is as I say I would have to go to each and every map and attach each nation to it, it would be quite a big task. I only use a few of my maps right now, however if there's interest in my nation mod when I'm done I'll upload it and maybe someone else will be up to the challenge and can attach the nations to the maps and upload them somewhere else.
@HD_Spectrum: The AI is scripted to randomly cycle through the heroes each time it goes to summon...however... I have noticed no matter how it's scripted it usually seems to summon them in the order they appear in 'Unitrules'. The biggest factor in hero summoning is the amount of resources you have, how much you are winning/losing.[Edited on 11/08/13 @ 08:42 AM]

wow, like that activity right now! nice that you could make this update so fast, for me i'm work again on the vinci campaign-maps to make them playable in skrimish,

Motter, there's a bug with your new update. The Cuotl CAN build the Fallen Refuge, but now the neutral fallen refuges don't work in any map that has them.
EDIT: And another one, the High Priests don't cost anything at all.[Edited on 11/08/13 @ 11:52 AM]

It won't work on the Skirmish Maps because I changed it's attributes to be available to the player to build. I could make a copy of it and put the original back to it's default.
As for the Priest, I didn't check out his cost, I just enabled him as he was in the CTW, I will fix this. |

If you could do that for me I'd be thanfull. I mostly just play skirmishes, so having non-working fallen refuges kinda ruins some maps for me.
If there's any problem with having the neutral and buildable Fallen Refuges both having the same "Fallen Refuge" name, you could change the buildable one to Fallen Home, I think that's what they were called in the campaign.[Edited on 11/08/13 @ 12:42 PM]

I updated the file. Just a few things:
I made a copy of the Refuge but I couldn't just graft it so I would have had to make copies off all the units which I don't have time for, so here's what I did - Original Refuge is as it was before with Unholy Ark, Fallen Priest, and Siege Elephant
New Refuge is buildable by the player with Fallen Warriors, Fallen Sentinels, High Priest, Fallen Jaguar, Fallen Snake, Fallen Idol. I put the ClockworkMan back at the Fane.
I did not playtest this as I'm busy with my new mod and would have had to switch out all my files but it should work. |

Sounds good Motter, thanks! I'll playtest it a bit and report back.
EDIT: Isn't 475 timonium for the first High Priest a bit too much? e.e
EDIT2: It seems the High Priest's cost goes up with every unit you have, instead of going up with every high priest.[Edited on 11/08/13 @ 01:28 PM]

Alright, so let's coordinate this here and get the maps all together in a single pack. Perhaps right now we should just create a mappack of patch-released maps. I don't think we should worry about the fanmade maps yet, as there are really only a handful of them, and focus our efforts on compiling every map that BHG had released in their official patches into one mappack.
We should first start with getting an inventory list together. I don't recognize the map name Gossamer Ridge, so I assume there were more official map releases aside from the several I mentioned in a prior post. That means we have some unaccounted maps. We already have Devilloc's list, so Alin, could you compile a list of all the additional maps you have?
Also, does anyone else have any additional official BHG released maps? Let's start getting organized. This forum is really starting to come back to life (even if there are really only a handful of us). |

@Devil: I don't know why it would be doing that, I just gave him the same cost as the Fallen Priest. I don't have time to playtest it but you can go into "unitrules.xml", scroll to the very bottom he is the last unit, adjust him however you like, or maybe someone else here can help out.
