I don't have visual Studio installed, so maybe that program is associated with certain programming files and that is why it is opening the file.
You may have to disable the association in the properties of the file or inside the program itself.
If that doesn't work you may need to uninstall Visual Studio and try to reinstall it again and go through the options to make sure your problem doesn't happen again.
If you still have the problem and need to use the program, my guess is the last options would be to install either ROL or Visual Studio on a USB or separate HD partition.
